Now that we are nearing election time, we expect a lot of excitement as well as a bit of fright from both candidates and electorates. We are just having our fingers crossed that we do not fall under the same category of nations which have been divided as a result of election frauds and so forth. We are looking forward to a free and fair election for all Batswana.

This year mark the ninth general election for Botswana since it regained its independence from British colony. I will be reporting about what is happening as we are approaching the general elections because it seems like we have a high number of independent candidate who call mekoko in our vernacular language.

This blog is about fairness of elections in Africa. Its been a cause of concern that elections in other countries aren't fair enough. So, in this blog we will be discussing some of these issues and share ideas on what fair elections is suppose to be....October 16 is Botswana elections day...we'll be keeping an eye on them.
