The Ghana Post Elections Intervention Project aims at overcoming the challenges and problems related to citizens ability to hold elected government and its representatives accountable for promises made during elections and also promote transparency and good governance.
The Project has so far compiled 20 promises that the NDC Party made during the 2008 Presidential campaign in Ghana and is tracking their progress on our NDC Promise Meter.
We rate their status as Not Done, In the Process or Stalled. Once we find action is completed, we rate them Promise Kept, or Promise Broken.
The promises below were chosen based on the fact that they have a direct effect on the socio-economic welfare of everyone in Ghana.
