5th Report October/November 2010
30 youth completed training in October and will be employed in the private sector. the Youth in ICT secretariat has already secured employment for the youth beneficiaries, the 22 trainees trainers who were trained and deployed into selected communities to train more youth in ICT are training more youth in the communities

4th Report September 2010
The training for the 56 youth in ICT selected from the Ashanti & Volta regions which started last month is expected to be completed this month and the beneficiaries will be attached to their various District Assemblies as data entry clerks.

1st Report January - June 2010
In recognition of the rate of unemployment in the country, the NDC promised among other things to “Train high school graduates as trainee’s trainers who will in turn train unemployed youth in ICT”.  Government has started implementing its promise of training unemployed youth in ICT. Statistics from the ministry of communication indicate that 22 trainee’s trainers have so far been trained under the data entry model. The programme has 3 models: Data Entry Model, Call Center Model, and Medical Transcription Model. The ministry is yet to start implementation on the other 2 models.
