Error on ballot paper for Amendment to Article 72b
Monrovia | 30 Aug 2011 03:48:06
3:48AM I was at the polling center at 10:15am this morning to vote, but doing the process I noticed an error on the ballot paper for the Amendment to Article 72(b) that states: Increasing mandatory retirement age of judges from 70 to 75. On the ballot paper, instead of stating 75 (additional 5 years) for YES and 70 (no additional year added) for NO, all the ballot papers stated 75 for YES and 75 for NO. This has brought about a level of confusion throughout the nation. However the NEC printed out an Dsiclamer posted in the voting booth explaining the correction on the error made on the ballot. Later during the day, NEC representatives were at Radio Stations apologizing to the nation for the printing error.
