News Analysis: Security main threat to Kenya's elections
Kenya is grappling with major security issues ahead of next year's general elections that the country is counting on to redeem its image after electoral violence following a 5-year cycle of elections related violence since 1992 ccording to XINHUA.
The 2007/2008 violence was the most severe that nearly took the country into a civil war following a disputed presidential votes tally.
The most prominent security threats now threatening the realization of a peaceful electioneering period parts, and subsequent elections emerged in the last five years, putting the government back on the drawing board of how to tackle them.
